UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO
Bachelors and Certificate
(September 2017 - April 2021)
I am currently attending the University of Toronto with an end goal of obtaining a Bachelors in Applied Science Degree, specializing in the Mechatronics and Sustainable Energy streams.
I have obtained a certificate in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Small business from a 1-year program I undertook in my second year of Engineering. During this program I learned the fundamentals of creating a small business including basic accounting knowledge, the significance of human resources, the large role that the government plays in my business, the art of a successful team, the making of a business plan, and the mindset of an entrepreneur. I am very happy I took these courses as I am certain I can apply this knowledge to any career path I choose in the future. Furthermore, I believe understanding the art of business is vital, as indifference can cause you to be tricked or left behind.
I chose to stream into Mechatronics and Sustainable Energy for three reasons. First, I am passionate about design in the mobility industry and am hoping to be a part of it in my future, specifically in automation or aerospace. Innovation towards 5 – level autonomous vehicles is something I find very cool and would want to be a part of. Second, I am a stong supporter of creating more eco-friendly mobiles in hopes of saving our planet; a change in the mobility industry would make a great impact. Finally, the pairing of these ideas creates my ultimate goal; to be a part of creating innovative technologies for mobiles by means of autonomy and renewable energy.
I am so thankful for my experience here at the University of Toronto where I really got to solidify my future goals and was connected with incredible experiences. The people I have met at this school have made a huge impact on my life and in making me who I am. Being surrounded by people focused on becoming great engineers and helping people is invigorating, and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for me here.
